オリジナル ＝ A / 元のもの、原版、原本　B / 独創的なもの、　C / 自分で作ったもの

私たちが考えるオリジナルとは「C / 自分で作ったもの」の上で「A / 元のもの、原本」に成り得る物であること。




Original = A / Components, original version, original text B / Original works, C / Self-created works

What we consider to be original is based on what 'C / things made by oneself' can become as 'A / the original, the source'. 







オリジナル商品を構成する部品の一部は１から作るのではなく、アメリカの部品メーカー数社から仕入れをしています。

これらの部品メーカーは１００年以上前から変わらないデザインの製品を作り続けていて、私たちはその部品を仕入れるという形でデザインを引き継いでいます。




Some of the parts that make up the original product are not made from scratch, but sourced from several American parts manufacturers.

These parts manufacturers have been continuously producing the same design of products for over a hundred years, and we have inherited this design by procuring these parts. 







１００年以上前と言えば、電球が世の中の一般家庭に普及してきたのが１８９０年代、
照明器具もガスやオイルの燃料仕様から電気仕様へと変わっていき、電化製品が一般家庭に拡がっていきます。

こういった世の中のエネルギー供給の変遷により照明本体のデザイン、照明を構成する部品のデザイン、サイズや形状の規格自体も変わりました。
現代に繋がる照明器具の誕生であり、ここで多くの照明デザインのオリジナルが生まれます。

過去に生まれたデザインを受け継ぎ、現代でも使用できる形に昇華させ、先人と自分たちが作りあげた物を後世に渡していく。




Over 100 years ago, in the 1890s, the light bulbs began to spread in ordinary homes around the world. Lighting fixtures transitioned from gas and oil fuel to electric, and electric appliances started to become common in ordinary homes.

Due to the changes in energy supply in the world, the design of lighting fixtures, the design of parts needed for the lighting, and the standards for sizes and shapes have also changed. It is the birth of lighting fixtures that connect to the modern times, and many original lighting designs are created here.

Inheriting designs born from the past, transcending into shapes that can also be used in the present, passing down the works created by our predecessors and ourselves to future generations. 







「良質な素材で作られた物は後世に残る。」

良い素材で作られた製品は傷や修復した跡すらも経年と共に刻まれた味として製品自体の表情を作り、使う人に愛着を与えていく。

しかし現実は、とりあえず作られ、とりあえず買って、とりあえず使ってみる。

大量消費・大量生産で生まれた、安かろう悪かろう。
この「とりあえず」が５０年後の子供たちに裕福な生活どころか資源枯渇問題を背負わせてしまう。

Products made from high-quality materials, even scratches and repair marks, will over time develop a unique charm, giving the product its own expression and giving affection to the users.

However, the reality is to produce first, buy first, and then try to use.

The cheap but low quality resulting from mass consumption and mass production.
This 'for the time being' will cause children 50 years from now to not only be unable to live a prosperous life but also to bear the problem of resource depletion.







ならば自分たちは意志を持って製品を作ろう。

「良質な素材で作られた物を後世に残す。」

これが私たちの意志であり、POINT NO.39のオリジナル商品を作りたかった理由のひとつです。

" 家の道具＜家具＞を作る "

水をすくう器、木を削る刃物、木の実を潰す木づち、身体を守る着衣、
太古の時代から考えると人が生きる上で必要な機能をもつ物として道具が人の手によって生まれてきます。




" Making tools for home production "

The tools for scooping water, knives for carving wood, wooden mallets for crushing nuts, and clothing for protecting the body have been created by humans since ancient times as tools necessary for human survival.







もともとは素材や見た目などの視覚的魅力は道具に求めていなかったのでしょうが、
審美性・デザイン性能の高いモノには、人を惹きつけ、時には人の心を癒す力があり、利便性以外の付加価値を持っていて
人はモノに愛情を抱き、永く大切に使えるものを選び、手に入れたくなります。

ようするに審美性・デザイン性の高いモノを作る事は永く愛される物を作るという事になるのです。

モノの見栄えというのは、姿・形の良し悪しだけではなく、どのようなMaterial（素材）で出来ているかが
重要になってくると我々は考え、私たちが作ろうとしている照明器具の「元のもの・原本」がBRASS（真鍮）で
出来ているという事に行きつき、ここで照明づくりの旅が始まります。




Originally, the materials and visual appeal of objects were not what tools pursued, but works with high aesthetics and design performance possess the power to attract and can sometimes heal the heart, providing additional value beyond mere convenience. People will develop feelings for works, choosing those that can be cherished and used for a long time, yearning to possess them.

In short, creating works with high aesthetics and design is to create works that can be beloved for a long time.

We believe that the appearance of a work is not only related to the quality of its shape and form but is also closely tied to the materials used, which are crucial. This made us realize that the 'raw material' we are trying to create with our lighting fixtures is brass, and thus our journey of light creation begins here.







照明器具を作るにあたり、POINT NO.39の照明器具の設計に以下の基準を設けました。


・長く愛される見た目であること
・求められる機能性を持っていること
・経年に耐えられる素材であること


当初は文字にしたことはなかったので後付け感がありますが、イメージとして存在はしていました。

シンプルなデザインであり、和洋や年代問わず、どのような様式にも合わせやすくする。




The following standards have been established for the design of lighting equipment for POINT NO.39 during the creation process.

・Having a long-loved appearance
・Has the required functionality
・Materials that can withstand long-term use


At that time, there was no expression in written form, so it feels like it was added later, but as an image, it did exist.

With a simple design, not limited by style or era, it can easily adapt to various styles.







全体をシンプルにすると細かい部分のディティールがとても重要になり、ここで１００年以上前のデザインが効いてきます。

そして、改めて言う事ではないのかもしれませんが、どのような場所や国でも使用に耐えうる構造で使用者が安心して使える事は永く愛されるモノを作るためにとても重要なこと。

１００年以上前から経年変色こそすれ、姿形を大きく変えない真鍮を素材として使う事は言わずもがな。
こうして道具作りの準備は着々と整っていきます。

Moreover, although this may not be something to reiterate, in any place or country, durable construction allows users to use products with peace of mind, which is crucial for creating works that will be cherished for a long time.

Although the use of copper as a material has been around for over a hundred years, and it has experienced some discoloration, its shape has not changed significantly, which is self-evident. 
Thus, the preparation for tool making is steadily underway.
